Spring is here and a new astrological
year has begun. The Vernal Equinox Chart* finds the Aries
Sun the focal planet of a dynamic t-square with
the waning Mars-Pluto opposition. This combination
has extraordinary energy and capability to bring about massive
transformation for better or worse. Misused, this could be
quite unpleasant as Sun/Pluto square has little regard for
rules and regulations, relentlessly and even recklessly pursuing
an obsession or perceived evil. Add to that the aggressive
impulses of the Sun/Mars square, and it could come
to blows, most likely within the home or family, or the workplace.
What begins as a small flare-up could turn into a major eruption.
The drive for power and success is great in this aspect configuration
and the use of force or other types of criminal activity are
possible. We would do well to keep in mind that these less
attractive expressions of this energy stem from the inherent
insecurities of the Sun/Pluto essence.
Fortunately, this formidable
formation of executive ability and the desire and compulsion
to succeed is just the ticket to new levels of performance
and achievement when used with discipline, direction, and
integrity. Particularly of benefit is the athletic arena where
competitors are in head to head contests such as boxing or
racing, from track and field to Nascar, to horseracing. Competition
in business is also charged with acquisition of markets and
resources and perhaps even a hostile takeover on the agenda.
New heights of attainment are available under this powerful
influence and a personal best or a final breakthrough to gain
a long-held goal may be realized. As with any strong energy,
care and consciousness are required for the desired results,
whether personal or professional.
This is an auspicious beginning
with enormous potential, and operating with intelligence and
integrity will help avoid the destructive possibilities while
maximizing the positive plausibility.
